Dec. 1 — Blacklite District (a.k.a. Kyle Pfeiffer) is scheduled to celebrate the year’s end by releasing his new album.

1990 is scheduled for release Dec. 31. In anticipation of the record’s release, Pfeiffer recently debuted the video for the record’s debut single, ‘Gotta Get Outta Here.’ The song premiered Oct. 14 through Metal Insider, the same day that the video premiered.

The musical arrangement featured in Blacklite District’s single is a driving, melodic hard rock style composition. It fits well into most active rock radio programmers’ play lists what with its catchy hooks and choruses.

No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the press release announcing the premiere of the song and its video. The lyrics provided with the video infer that the song’s message is one of determination and perseverance. That is just this critic’s interpretation.

The video for ‘Gotta Get Outta Here’ is a relatively simple presentation. It features Pfeiffer and his band mates in what is meant to reflect a live setting as their perform the single.
