Jan. 21 — Independent punk rock band Rotten Mind debuted the latest single from its new album this week.
The band premiered its new single, ‘Drifter‘ Friday. The song is the fifth single from the band’s forthcoming album, Unflavored, which is expected for release in March through Lovely Records. An exact release date is under consideration.
The band talked about the song’s musical arrangement and its lyrical theme in a prepared statement.
“Drifter is a song about being on the run, but it was also written with a nostalgic and melancholic feeling,” the statement reads. “It brings more of an up-tempo punk beat compared to our previous single Serpent Eyes, while not neglecting the feeling of 80s new wave. The single captures the grand sound of Turbinen studio, where it was recorded by Kristofer Jönson.”
In other news, the band has announced a new tour in support of its new album. The tour is scheduled to launch Feb. 25 in Kiel, Germany and to run through April 9 in Berlin, Germany. The tour also features scheduled performances in cities, such as Amsterdam, Netherlands; Prague, Czechoslovakia and Parma, Italy.
