Gatekeeper Debuts Video For New Album’s Title Track

March 3 — Folk metal band Gatekeeper premiered the video for its latest single to kick off the weekend.

The band debuted the video for its new single, ‘From Western Shores’ Friday. The song is the title track from the band’s forthcoming album by the same name. Pre-orders are open. The single is the record’s third behind ‘Exiled King‘ and ‘Twisted Towers.’

The musical arrangement featured in ‘From Western Shores’ is a familiar style composition, what with its overall sound and stylistic approach. It is a folk meets power metal style approach that is easily comparable to works from the likes of Tyr, Falconer, and others of that ilk.

No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme, but in listening to the song, it seems to tell a fantasy style story about great warriors making their way to a new land to conquer the territory.

The song’s video does not exactly match the story in the lyrical content. It features the story of a woman overcoming her captor on a snowy mountain and defeating him in battle using magic.
