March 31 — Independent hard rock band Rahway premiered its new single, ‘Carry You‘ as this weekend opened.
The band debuted the single Friday. The song is featured in the band’s new as yet untitled EP, on which the band is working. The song’s musical arrangement is a heavy, driving composition that is grounded in its rich guitar line. The vocals and rhythm section add their own depth to the whole to ensure listeners’ engagement and entertainment even more.
According to a statement from the band’s the song’s lyrical theme focuses on the dynamic between family members as one handles most of the emotional load while the other takes advantage of the other.
“‘Carry You’ tells the story of a person who was carrying a loved one through life, or so they thought, because in the end, it was the loved one doing the real heavy lifting,” the statement reads. “It is an epic story. One that we’ve all been through in life, because we’re all selfish beings and not realizing that without others in our lives, we can’t survive.”
