March 9 — Soraia is taking on a song from fellow rock act The Hellacopters for its latest single.
The band premiered its cover of The Hellacopters’ ‘Baby Borderline’ Thursday. The song is the band’s latest single and comes a week after the band premiered the video for its then latest single, ‘Jokers, Thieves and Liars.’
Soraia’s take on ‘Baby Borderline’ stays largely true to its source material, just with some minor tweaks. The DIY garage rock style sound and approach is on full display here just as much as in the original song.
Anders Lindstrom, of The Hellacopters, even praised Soraia’s take on the song, saying “They really so our song justice.”
In other news, Soraia launched its “Bloom Spring Tour” Thursday in Wayne, PA. The tour, which is in support of the band’s latest album, Bloom, is scheduled to run through
May 6 in Albany, NY. The Idiot Kids is scheduled to serve as support for the tour, which also features performances scheduled in cities, such as New Haven, CT; Cleveland, OH and Hamtramck, MI.
