March 1 — Soraia debuted the video for its latest single this week.
The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘Jokers, Thieves and Liars’ Wednesday. The single is featured in the band’s 2022 album, Bloom and was preceded by the record’s then latest single, ‘I Seek Fire.’ The album was released through Wicked Cool Records.
As with much of the band’s existing work, the musical arrangement featured in this song is an infectious garage rock style composition. The classic rock influence immediately leans in the direction of Joan Jett and the Black Hearts in comparison.
No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the press release announcing the video’s premiere. The lyrics provided with the video, which was recorded Dec. 10, 2022 at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia, PA, hint at someone who is feeling rather strongly about a man. There is even what seems to be a bit of a double entendre included at one point in the lyrical presentation, which points even more to that sense.
In other news, Soraia is scheduled to launch a new tour in support of Bloom March 9 in Wayne, PA. The tour is scheduled to run through May 6 in Albany, NY. The Idiot Kids is scheduled to serve as support for the tour, which also features performances scheduled in cities, such as New Haven, CT; Cleveland, OH and Hamtramck, MI.
