The Guess Who Announces New Album Details; Debuts Album’s Second Single, Video; Tour Underway

April 7 — Veteran rock band The Guess Who will release its latest album this summer.

The band is scheduled to release its new album, Plein D’Amour June 30 through Deko Entertainment. In anticipation of its release, the band premiered the album’s second single and title track Friday along with the song’s video. Its debut came two months after the release of the album’s lead single, ‘The King.’

The new single presents an infectious musical arrangement that will appeal to a wide range of rock fans. The somewhat progressive rock approach and sound taken to this song definitely makes for lots of that appeal. The band’s classic rock roots are just as much on display here as that prog-rock leaning.

Front man/Guitarist Derek Sharpe, said the lyrical theme featured in the album’s new single delivers a message of unity.

“The title track/grand finale, ‘Plein D’Amour,’ is a simple message,” Sharpe said. “Black, White, Blue, Red, Up, Down, All Around may be part of the great illusion, but we are all one. Being genuine and full of love transmutes fear and anger into clarity and joy! It is the ultimate answer to everything…and it costs nothing.”

In other news, The Guess Who is touring in support of its forthcoming album. The tour’s next scheduled stop is April 13 in Lebanon, IL. The tour is schedule to run through Dec. 2 in Hinton, OK and also features scheduled performances in cities, such as Oswego, NY; Larchwood, IA and Warren, OH.
