May 4 — Independent rock band Grand Royale debuted the video for its latest single this week.
The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘Status Doom’ Wednesday. The song is the fourth single from the band’s latest album, Welcome To Grime Town, which was released March 24 through The Sign Records. The premiere follows those of the album’s other singles, ‘Stark Raving Mad,‘ ‘Utopia‘ and ‘Tell Me‘.
The video for ‘Status Doom’ features the band, bundled up, performing its new single in a forest setting. Along the way, the band members get up to some mischief, such as finding some interesting mushrooms, checking in on a birdhouse attached to a tree and bow hunting.
The musical arrangement featured in the band’s new single is a driving, up-tempo composition. It blends elements of stoner, garage, and pure guitar rock for a whole that is unquestionably an original, engaging and entertaining composition.
No information about the song’s lyrical theme was presented in the news release announcing the video’s premiere and no lyrics were presented with the video.
In other news, Grand Royale has announced a new handful of live dates in Spain in support of its new album. The dates, which are part of the band’s “Welcome To Grimetour 2023 Tour,” launch May 9 in Malaga, Spain and wrap May 14 in Portacaeli, Spin.
