May 11 — Oni Press will launch a new horror-based comic series this summer.
Dwellings is scheduled to start its limited run Aug. 9. The series will publish every other month once it launches. It will span three issues, with Emmy Award-winning and Eisner Award-nominated cartoonist Jay Stephens leading the way as the series’ writer. The series is a reboot of sorts from the series of the same name that Stephens originally published independently.
Each issue will span 72 pages, according to information provided in a news release from Oni Press announcing the new series’ forthcoming premiere. Each issue will consist of two separate stories, with the first issue presenting the stories, “They Know” and “Second Tongue.”
Issue #1’s main cover was designed by Stephens while the variants were designed by Joe Palmer, Jenna Cha, and Brian Level. Issue #1 will retail for MSRP of $9.99.
