Tennis Courts Debuts New Contemplative Single, ‘Am I Not Talking Enough,’

May 5 — Independent rock band Tennis Courts debuted its new single this week.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Am I Not Talking Enough‘ Wednesday. It is unknown if the song will be featured in the band’s forthcoming as yet untitled album, which is due out later this year.

The musical arrangement featured in Tennis Courts’ new single is a decidedly shoegazer style composition. That is especially evident early on in the song’s subdued, contemplative first half. As the arrangement progresses, the emotion builds through the instrumentation, but it still maintains that shoegazer type of approach and sound.

According to front man Pat Walsh, the song’s lyrical them is itself quite contemplative.

“This song is probably the most personal song we’ve ever put out,” Walsh said. “It’s about a lot of things, but I think it’s mostly just about how I have felt over the last year. I’ve spent a lot of time coming to terms with myself, how I fit in the world, and how I fit into other people’s lives. I spend a lot of time examining my relationship with myself, family, friends, and partners. And at the end of the day, maybe I am just thinking too much.”
