ABKCO Announces New Details For Rolling Stones Vinyl Re-Issues Campaign

June 9 — This past March, ABKCO launched a new campaign to re-issue more than a dozen of The Rolling Stones’ classic albums on vinyl with the re-issue of the U.S. version of the band’s 1966 album, Aftermath.

Its release was followed April 28 with the re-issue of the U.S. version of the band’s 1967 album, Between The Buttons, and on Friday, the label continued that campaign with the re-issue of the United Kingdom version of the band’s 1966 compilation record, Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass). The March and April re-issues and the brand new 180-gram vinyl re-issue are three of 16 total records from The Rolling Stones that ABKCO is planning to re-issue this year and into 2024, according to a news release distributed Friday about the label’s new campaign.

The information provided states the label’s campaign will see the company release albums from The Rolling Stones spanning 1963 to 1970. That includes the band’s very first live recording, 1966’s U.S.-released Got Live If You Want It! and the U.S. version of the band’s 1966 album, Aftermath. A re-issue of the band’s 1967 album, Flowers is scheduled for June 16 through ABKCO.

The U.S. and UK versions of the band’s 1965 album, Out of Our Heads is scheduled as part of the campaign, for release on Sept. 15 and 1969’s Through The Past Darkly (Big Hits Vol. 2) Oct. 20 in the UK and Nov. 10 in the U.S.

The Rolling Stones No. 2 (1965), is scheduled to drop as part of ABKCO’s campaign of vinyl re-issues from The Rolling Stones Dec. 1 alongside 1965’s December’s Children (And Everybody’s) and Got Live If You Want It (1965).

Many of the albums included in the label’s campaign have been out-of-print for nearly four decades. The label’s current schedule and track listing for the upcoming Rolling Stones vinyl re-issues is noted in full below.
