June 9 — Independent hard rock act Antisaint unveiled its latest single this weekend.
The band debuted ‘Paradise‘ Friday. The song is available now to download through Apple Music. The band’s first single since the release of its album, Vaticinate in 2021, it boasts a musical arrangement that is comparable to works from the likes of Drowning Pool, Soil, and to a slightly lesser degree, Sevendust. That is evidenced through the approach taken in the song’s guitar line and the energy therein, as well as the vocals. The song’s production adds to that sense, too.
According to information provided about the new single, its lyrical theme takes on social media. The information states of the song’s lyrical theme, it is “satiristic to the reality of living too vicariously in the world of the internet … specifically social media.”
The information continues, “With the chorus’ main tagline of “our lives are all perfect and everything is fine,” frontman Matthew Whiteman openly plays into the ignorance most people take browsing across social media influencer’s accounts in a very “fake it til you make it” atmosphere online. The song tackles the idea that too much influence creates insecurity.”
In other news, Antisaint performed Saturday afternoon at the 2023 Download Festival at Donington Park, UK. Other acts scheduled to perform Saturday during the second day of the three-day festival were the likes of: Clutch, Ice Nine Kills, Motionless in White and Metallica
Antisaint joined the likes of Halestorm, Alter Bridge, Bad Wolves, Avatar, and The Warning as the newest acts to join the annual festival’s lineup. Antisaint’s performance at this year’s Download Festival was in support of the re-issue of its 2021 album, Vaticinate, which was released last year.
