June 12 – Independent industrial metal act AVGMNT premiered the video for tis latest single over the weekend.
The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘PVRE BLACK‘ Saturday. The single is featured in the band’s debut album, Seqvences, which the duo recently released. The video features the duo — Zach Wagner and Fernando Ruiz — performing their respective parts to the song in front of a variety of digital style backdrops, some of which conjure thoughts of Disney’s classic science fiction movie, Tron. Meanwhile the song plays over the visualization.
The musical arrangement featured in the band’s new single is a heavy, industrial/electronic metal composition that as with the record’s other singles, boasts a clear stylistic similarity to works from the likes of Orgy and Marilyn Manson. Listeners can also make a comparison to works from the likes of Crossbreed.
No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the video’s premiere. The lyrics provided with the video hint at the song’s theme centering on the familiar topic of trying to decide whether it is better to be ignorant about the state of the world or to see reality and be angry. That is just this critic’s interpretation.
SEQVENCES is available now. More information on the album is available along with all of AVGMNT’s latest news at:
