June 21 — Lord Drakkon is returning in a special one-shot Power Rangers title from Boom! Studios next week.
Power Rangers Unlimited: The Coinless #1 is scheduled for release Wednesday. The one-shot’s story, written by Adam Cesare (Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal), follows yet another evil scheme by Mistress Vile (nee Rita Repulsa) to defeat the Power Rangers. This time the scheme involves none other than Lord Drakkon. Mistress Vile wants to bring Lord Drakkon into the prime Power Rangers universe in order to defeat her foes, but the plan doesn’t go exactly as she plans, as with most of her evil schemes.
Power Rangers Unlimited: The Coinless #1 spans 40 pages. Its main cover art was designed by Dan Mora (Once and Future) and pages colored by Arthur Hesli (Heavy Metal Magazine). The issue’s variants were deigned by Goni Montes (Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers) and Stephanie Hans (Journey into Mystery).
