July 18 — Sir Paul McCartney has partnered with poet Paul Muldoon for a nwew podcast.
“McCartney: A Life in Lyrics” is scheduled to premiere Sept. 20 through IHeart Radio and Pushkin. The debut of the new podcast will precede the paperback re-issue of McCartney’s physical lyrics collection, The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present. the collection’s paperback publication is scheduled for Nov. 7 through Liveright Publishing.
The new podcast’s debut season will span 12 episodes, during which McCartney and Muldoon will discuss the lyrics to some of his and The Beatles’ biggest hits, such as ‘Helter Skelter,’ ‘Penny Lane,’ and ‘Magical Mystery Tour.’ On eepisode will air each week. The podcast’s second season is expected to premiere in February 2024.
