P!nk brings her Summer Carnival tour to American Family Field in Milwaukee WI and wows audience.
On a cool and rainy Monday afternoon, fans began making their way up to the stadium to wait in line to enter the American Family Field. Fans under umbrellas and wearing rain ponchos stood in line waiting for the doors to open to the sold out P!nk show. The show had record breaking attendance of 46,644 for the stadium which is home to the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team. Not only did P!nk break the record but she also became the first woman to headline a stadium concert in Wisconsin.
The show opened up with DJ Kidcutup starting things off he would also keep things going between each set. Spinning crowd favorites with a wide variety of artists and genres.
The first band for the night was Grouplove. A high charged full of energy alternative rock band out of Los Angeles California. Grouplove was a great band to get the crowd hyped up for the evening. The chemistry between singers Christian and Hannah also made it a really fun set to watch.
Next up was rock and roll hall of famers, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo. The two along with their band sounded absolutely great. Playing fan favorites from over their career with a couple of my favorites ‘Love Is A Battlefield’ and ‘We Belong’ which Pat Benatar dedicated to the people of Maui after their disaster that recently happened.

Next up it was about time for the Headliner P!nk. While waiting the crowd all around us up in the upper seats erupted with cheers while doing the wave around the stadium from level to level. This kept up for a few minutes till the lights went down. Shortly after the two large screens on the sides of the stage started to play a animated character of P!nk talking to start off and get the crowd excited. Shortly after way above the stage a pair of red neon lips lit up brightly opened up with pink between them. She stood up there and waved to the crowd as the song ‘Get The Party Started’ kicked off the show. Shortly after she dropped down attached to bungees and bounced up and down a bit. Then was lowered to the stage and dancers unattached her harness. P!nk then made her way around stage waving and singing. The whole show would be a mix of some pretty amazing acrobatics by P!nk and with the help of a couple of her dancers at times. Looking around I could definitely tell the fans absolutely loved the extra stunts that would make this concert seem like the carnival as it was named ‘Summer Carnival’. The stage was very colorful from lighting to outfits that not only P!nk wore but also her dancers. The stage also had different props out at times like a large disco ball sitting on the stage. One fun part was when a couple of the dancers came out riding pink flamingo scooters around the stage. Through the set you could tell not only were the fans having an amazing time, but so was P!nk, her band and dancers. This show was something totally different for me. I’ve never seen acrobatics being done like P!nk did. Which also shows her athleticism, besides being a great singer and performer. There were times wires had her flying and spinning way above the crowd to the opposite side of the stadium. In which sometimes she would touchdown on a couple pedestals among the crowd. P!nk and her band sounded absolutely great live. Playing so many hits, from ‘Get The Party Started’ to ‘Raise Your Glass’, ‘Who Knew’, ‘Just Like A Pill’, ‘What About Us’, ‘Please Don’t Leave Me’, ‘Trustfall’ and ‘Last Call’ plus many more. She also played ‘Cover Me In Sunshine’ in which part way through P!nk’s daughter Willow Sage Hart came out to sing part of the song. Which everyone absolutely loved seeing her onstage with her mom. The night ended with P!nk performing ‘So What’ while soaring over the crowd on the high wire. And ending with fireworks going off on the sides of the stage. It was an absolutely amazing sight to see with all the production put into this tour.
P!nks Summer Carnival is so much more than just a concert. All the production, dancing, acrobatics make this the total all around show of the summer. Definitely worth going to see and will be a very memorable show. I’d definitely suggest going to see P!nk’s Summer Carnival. Upcoming tour dates can be found at
