Sept. 29 — KKs Priest released its new album, The Sinner Rides Again Friday through Napalm Records and in celebration the band debuted another single and video from the new album.
The musical arrangement featured in the band’s new single is some of the heaviest work presented from the record so far. Front man Tim “Ripper” Owens’ gritty vocals work with the instrumentation to give the composition overall such a powerful impact.
When the arrangement pairs with the song’s equally powerful commentary, the song becomes even more engaging. Band founder and namesake K.K. Downing talked about the song’s lyrical theme in a prepared statement.
“It’s time to take a look into another world – a world where the most powerful have to succumb to enduring their penance for all eternity,” Downing said. “So best beware, as those of the highest power may one day gather to summon you as their victim, and be certain there will be no escape as your presence will be demanded by singing ‘Hymn 66’!”
