Nov. 8 — Up-and-coming pop punk outfit Raisin Awareness debuted the video for its latest single and video this week.
The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘Living Colour‘ Wednesday. The video is a simple yet creative presentation. It features the trip dancing in front of a camera as their bodies are mixed and matched against a trio of colors that changes throughout the video.
The musical arrangement featured in the band’s new single is a nearly four-minute composition that boasts elements of the band’s familiar pop punk styling while also adding in some touches of mainstream pop rock. The balance of the two elements makes the song engaging and entertaining for a wide range of audiences.
The song’s lyrical theme takes on the topic of communication breakdowns, according to vocalist Jo D.
“Put simply, ‘Living Colour’ is about our inability to actively or compassionately listen to one another, particularly when communicating needs and wants in a relationship, because we’re all so desperate to feel heard,” she said. “This is why the song repeats ‘…heard it all before…’ because sometimes it feels like the same conversation occurs over and over, and that it’s just going around in circles. No solution or agreement is reached.”
