Dec. 12 — One of the most beloved series of television’s golden age will finally be released in a full series collection next week.
The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet: The Official Restored Complete Series is scheduled for release Dec. 19 in an expansive 50-disc collection. The sitcom aired on ABC for a total of 14 seasons from Oct. 3, 1952 to Apr. 23, 1966. It followed the life of real life married couple Ozzie and Harriet Nelson and their children. Throughout the series’ run, it also featured a variety of guest appearances, including none other than the world’s first “boy band”, The Four Preps.
The Four Preps vocalist Bruce Belland wrote extensively about the group’s work on the show on his recently published memoir, Icons, Idols & Idiots of Hollywood: My Adventures in America’s First Boy Band.
