Feb. 16 — Punk outfit Blowfuse debuted its latest single over the weekend.
The band unveiled its new single, ‘I Give You My Word‘ Friday, along with the song’s companion video. The song is lifted from the band’s forthcoming album, The 4th Wall, which is scheduled for release March 1 through SBAM Records.
The musical arrangement featured in the band’s new single is a catchy, punk opus that borders on pop punk. This is evidenced through its featured vocal delivery style and distinct guitar arrangement. The whole of the vocals and overall instrumentation makes the song’s arrangement comparable to works from the likes of Offspring, NOFX, The Descendants, and Millencolin.
The song’s lyrical theme is briefly discussed in the news release announce the premiere of the new single. The information states the lyrical theme is meant to deliver an uplifting message of someone who really is working to overcome whatever obstacles are in his way.
The video for the band’s new single is a two-part presentation. One part of the video features the band performing its new single on a plain sound stage with white back drop. The other portion features the band in front of a video screen with their different facial parts — mouths, eyes, noses — interchanging as the group sings. The song plays over the visualization as it progresses.
In other news, Blowfuse is scheduled to launch a tour in support of its new album March 17 in Tarragona, Spain. The tour is scheduled to run through April 14 in its hometown of Barcelona, Spain. Stops in Bilboa, Spain; Vigo, Spain and Malaga, Spain are also part of the tour.
