Feb. 6 — Independent rock band Sisters offered audiences another taste of its latest album, Leecheater this week.
The band unveiled the album’s latest single, ‘Black Stars‘ Tuesday, and premiered the song’s companion video through Revolver magazine. The song and video are the fourth from the album, which was released in 2023 through Spartan Records. The album has also produced the singles, ‘Feet On The Ground,’ ‘Through The Cracks,‘ and ‘Born Again.’
The musical arrangement featured in this song is a full-on fuzz/stoner rock composition. Its rich guitar line and distinct vocals and production make that clear. Speaking of the production, it is perhaps the only downside to this song. That is because due to the production, the vocals are completely washed out by the instrumentation, making deciphering the lyrics completely impossible without a reference point.
No reference point is provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the debut of the new single and video, and no lyrics are provided with the video.
In other news, Sisters has a series of live dates coming up in support of Leecheater. The noted dates are listed below:
Upcoming Shows:
3/19 – St. Louis, MO – Platypus
3/20 – Chicago, IL – Subterranean (Downstairs)
3/21 – Lexington, KY – The Green Lantern Bar
3/22 – Tolono, IL – Loose Cobra
3/23 – Kansas City, MO – miniBar
