March 5 — Rick Monroe and The Hitmen premiered the video for its latest single this week.
The band unveiled the video for its latest single, Worth The Hurt,‘ Tuesday, almost a month after debuting the single by itself. The band presented the video through Rock Rage Radio. The video tells the familiar story of a couple whose relationship has gone south as the song plays over the visualization.
The musical arrangement featured in the group’s new single is a catchy outlaw country type composition. This is evidenced through the southern rock leanings that blend equal parts country and rock. At points, audiences can liken the composition to songs from the likes of Eric Church and at others to works from the likes of Chris Stapleton.
According to information provided in the news release announcing the premiere of the new single, the song’s lyrical theme touches on toxic relationships. More specifically, it states the song “is an antithetical Valentines Day song that highlights the addictive qualities and unhealthy co-dependance of a love gone wrong.”
