Falling In Reverse Announces New Album, Tour News; Debuts Video For Album’s Sixth Single

Courtesy: Epitaph Records

May 7 — Falling in Reverse will tentatively release its fifth album this summer.

The band announced Tuesday, plans to release its new album, Popular Monster July 26 through Epitaph Records. In anticipation of the album’s release, the band premiered the video for what is now its sixth single, ‘Ronald’ Tuesday. The album most recently produced a cover of Papa Roach’s hit debut single, ‘Last Resort‘ and prior to that, ‘Watch The World Burn.’ It has also produced the singles, ‘Voices In My Head,’ ‘Zombified,’ and ‘Popular Monster.’

‘Ronald’ features a guest appearance by rapper Tech N9ne and Alex Terrible, with Tech N9ne making up quite a big part of the song’s second half. In comparison to its predecessors, this song is much heavier, delving into areas of thrash and metalcore all in one.

No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the debut of the new video. The lyrics provided with the song’s video hint at the song’s theme seemingly being a social commentary of sorts about the state of the world and the subject’s view of that state as he aged and changed. That is just this critic’s interpretation.

The video opens with front man Ronnie Radke in an ambulance before eventually finding himself battling an evil force on a rooftop. In the video’s finale, Radke and Tech N9ne find themselves on a rock with Radke facing off what can only be thought to be the devil itself, using the same power from ‘Watch The World Burn’ that he used in anger to instead fight the ultimate evil.

The full track listing for the 11-song album is noted below:
