Details Announced For Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton Concert Re-Issues

July 16 — Two more previously released concert recordings from Mercury Studios (nee Eagle Rock Entertainment) will get renewed attention later this summer.

The label’s previously released Black Sabbath recording The End and Eric Clapton’s Slowhand at 70Live at the Royal Albert Hall are scheduled to get the 4k re-issue treatment Sept. 13. Originally released Nov. 17, 2017, The End captures what was supposed to be Black Sabbath’s career-ending concert held Feb. 4, 2017 at Gentig Arena in Birmingham, England.

Slow Hand at 70: Live at the Royal Albert Hall was released two years prior on Nov. 13, 2015. The concert featured in the recording was captured May 21, 2015 at the famed Royal Albert Hall as part of Clapton’s “70th Birthday Celebration Tour.”

Audiences will be glad to know that the set lists and bonus content featured in each recording is the same as in each recording’s previous release. The noted information is noted below:

The forthcoming 4K concert re-issues from Eric Clapton and Black Sabbath are just the latest from Mercury Studios. The label most recently re-issued the Peter Gabriel concert recording, Back to Front last month on 4K UHD. The company also re-issued its previously released presentation of Motley Crue’s The End Live in Los Angeles in April.
