Jan. 27 — Gilby Clarke will fill in for Nita Strauss on a handful of upcoming dates for Alice Cooper’s tour.
According to information provided in a news release distributed Monday, Clarke (ex-Guns ‘N Roses, Slash, Nikki Six) was added to Cooper’s lineup due to scheduling conflicts that Strauss had due to her own obligations. Orianthi was going to fill the vacancy but due to unforeseen circumstances, was forced to step back, according to the release.
The schedule for the concerts in which Clarke will take part is noted below:
1/31 — Augusta, GA — Bell Auditorium
2/1 — Cherokee, NC — Harrah’s Casino Resort Event Center
2/2 — Greensboro, NC — Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts
2/4 — Mobile, AL — Saenger Theatre
2/6 — Orlando, FL — Hard Rock
2/7 — Ft Myers, FL — Barbara Mann Performing Arts Hall
2/8 — Clearwater, FL — Coachmen Park
2/11 — St. Augustine, FL — Amphitheatre
2/13-2/17 — Miami, FL — Rock Legends Cruise
Strauss is expected to return to the lineup for Cooper’s band following the noted dates including performances at the annual Sonic Temple festival, May 9 in Columbus, OH; the Boardwalk Rock Festival May 18 in Ocean City, MD and at a performance alongside My Chemical Romance Aug. 15 in Philadelphia, PA.
