Spark Of Life Debuts New Album’s Latest Single, Video; Tour Schedule Announced–

Jan. 6 — Post hardcore outfit Spark of Life is giving audiences a new preview of its forthcoming album, Plagued By The Human Condition this week.

The band debuted the album’s latest single, ‘In Pursuit Of‘ Monday, along with the song’s companion video. The melodic punk elements and hardcore style screams featured in the song make for a catchy, infectious composition. The primary melody, as noted, presents something of an almost pop punk leaning that certainly plays into the song’s appeal.

According to front man Steve Jennings, the song’s lyrical theme takes on the all too familiar topic of relationships. He said of the topic in a prepared statement, ““Matters of the heart are always risky. ‘In Pursuit Of’ is about knowing those risks and deciding to chase the love your heart wants anyway…even though it might break in the end.”

The song’s video is a familiar presentation, too. It features the band in what looks like a rehearsal space, performing its new single as the song plays over the visualization.
