Jan. 31 — Disciples of Verity is in the studio working on its sophomore album.
Titled Nexus, the album’s release date is under consideration. In anticipation of its release however, the band debuted the album’s lead single, ‘Thread The Needle‘ Friday. The four-minute-plus composition leans heavily on influences of 80s hair rock throughout its presentation while also incorporating some more modern rock influence. The whole makes the song an interesting work that is sure to engage and entertain listeners.
Drummer Corey Pierce (God Forbid) had the following to say about the song’s lyrical theme:
:’Thread the Needle’ is such a dynamic song as it’s based in the roots of pessimism versus hope in an abstract call to all of us moving into an unforseen future.”
Pierce is one fifth of the “super group,” which also includes front man Corey Glover (Living Colour), George Pond (Swim The Current, Negative Sky), Mark Monjoy (Sekond Skyn), and Zach Miranowic (Sekond Skyn, Riversend).
