Oct. 18 — Metal outfit Ignitor unveiled its latest single and video this week in the form of Saxon’s classic single, ‘Machine Gun.’
The band premiered the single and its companion video Friday. The single is featured on Ignitor’s latest album, Horns and Hammers and features guest vocals from Marc Lopes of Metal Church and guitar work from Ross The Boss, of Manowar.
Ignitor’s take on Saxon’s classic (which is featured in Saxon’s 1980 album, Wheels of Steel) stays largely true to its source material while also amping up the original. At the same time, there is something in the approach and the production that still gives the song a vintage metal sound that is certain to appeal to a wide range of audiences.
