Rock act Joy Buzzer opened the weekend with a brand-new single.
The band premiered its new single, ‘Simone‘ Friday. The standalone single came more than four months after the band premiered its most recent album, Please To Meet You, which released last October through Wicked Cool Records.
The band’s new single is another fun, up-tempo pop rock composition that stylistically throws back to another age of rock. The guitars, vocal harmonies, and tight sound from the rhythm section take listeners collectively back to some of the fun pop rock sounds of the early 1990s.
Lyrically speaking, the song centers on the all-too-oft used theme of romance, according to a statement from the band.
“It’s a heartbreaking story of isolation and unrequited love—blasted out by drums and wires at 500 mph,” the statement reads.
