Misfire offered audiences another preview of its forthcoming album, Product of the Environment this weekend.
The preview came in the form of the new single, ‘Living The Dream‘ and the song’s companion video Friday. The premieres came less than a month after the band debuted another of the record’s singles, ‘We Went Through Hell‘ and its companion video. Both songs are featured in the band’s forthcoming album, which is scheduled for release May 2 through MNRK Heavy.
The musical arrangement featured in Misfire’s new single is a vintage thrash style composition. Between the vocals and the equally intense instrumentation, listeners can easily hear influence of legendary acts, such as Anthrax, Megadeth, and Metallica.
Drummer James Nicademus discussed the song’s lyrical theme in a prepared statement.
“Getting through life’s twists and turns can sometimes feel like driving full speed in the wrong direction,” said Nicademus. “If you crash and burn, you’d better live, learn, and keep living that dream. This song has been a long time coming so turn it up to eleven and bang your head!”
In other news, Misfire is scheduled to tour alongside Exodus and now Havok for the Swarm of Horror Tour in support of its new album. The band’s current schedule it noted below. Tickets are available here.
