Slayer Announces New Headlining Concert

April 08, 2025

Slayer opened the new week with the announcement of a new headlining concert.

According to a news release distributed Monday, the concert is scheduled to take place Sept. 20 at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, PA. The concert is currently the band’s only American concert of 2025. Ticket pre-sales are scheduled to open at 10 a.m. ET Tuesday, with general sales to open 10 a.m. ET Friday. Tickets are available here.

The one-nightonly concert will be hosted by World Wrestling Entertainment superstar Damien Priest, a self-proclaimed metalhead and longtime Slayer fan. Slayer guitarist Kerry King even provided the music for Priest’s ring entrance, theme, ‘Rise For The Night.’

King talked about the upcoming concert in a prepared statement.

“Last year, Slayer played only two shows, and those shows affected me like playing The Big Four shows did,” King said. “When we played our first show last year in Chicago, I figured it was going to be great for the fans, maybe there would be some people who had never seen us play before, but the reaction was just completely overwhelming. The fans reacted to us like I’d expect them to react to the biggest band on the planet. It was amazing. So for the Hershey concert, we’ll play a Slayer show, we’ll have all of our big fire effects, and just burn everything like we used to.”

Also on the bill for the massive event are: Knocked Loose, Suicidal Tendencies, Power Trip, Cavalera (performing Chaos A.D. in full), and Exodus (performing Blood for Blood in full).

King noted at least two of the band’s scheduled to join Slayer for the upcoming concert.

“This will be the first time Slayer has played with Power Trip or Knocked Loose, but I am well aware of them from word of mouth, and hearing their music on Liquid Metal,” King said. “I’m looking forward to seeing them live.”

The announcement Monday, of Slayer’s latest live dates came more than a month after the band announced a pair of United Kingdom shows with Amon Amarth, Anthrax, Mastodon, Hatebreed, and Neckbreaker.
