Nov. 21 — Pop Evil unveiled the video for its latest single this week.
The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘Deathwalk’ Thursday. The premiere of the new single and video follows that of the band’s then latest single, ‘What Remains.’ The video for the band’s new single finds front man Leigh Kakaty dragging another him to his grave as the song plays over the visualization.
Much as with ‘What Remains,’ the musical arrangement featured in ‘Deathwalk’ is distinctly heavy content; even heavier than that featured in ‘What Remains,’ which is itself quite heavy.
According to a statement from Kakaty, the lyrical theme featured in the new single is an existential contemplation.
“We are the accused, the guilty, the damned,” said Kakaty. “At the end of our ‘Deathwalk,’ judgment awaits. Are you at peace with what you will leave behind?”
It is unknown if either of the band’s current singles will be included in the band’s forthcoming as yet untitled album, which is expected for release in 2025. The band released its latest album, Skeletons in 2023.
In other news, Pop Evil is wrapping up its current tour alongside Bad Wolves. The tour, which launched Oct. 30 is scheduled to wind down Nov. 30 in Lexington, KY. Tickets for the tour’s remaining dates are available here.
