March 10 — Punk rock band Jughead’s Revenge is set to release its EP, Vultures, this year through SBAM Records.
The EP’s release date is under consideration. In anticipation of the record’s release, the band premiered the album’s lead single, ‘I’ll Be Seeing You‘ Friday. A video for the single is expected to premiere soon.
The musical arrangement featured in ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ is an infectious, upbeat composition. The combination of the driving guitar line, steady time keeping, bass line and vocals makes the arrangement comparable to so many works from the likes of Pennywise.
No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme, though in listening to the song, the lyrical theme seems to be a tribute to someone the band new. That is just this critic’s interpretation.
Since coming out of the skate punk scene in California in the late 80s, Jughead’s Revenge has released four albums, one independently and the other three through Nitro Records. The band’s forthcoming record will be its debut EP.
