June 12 — The Dead Daisies announced a partnership with guitar amp company Blackstar Amplification Monday.
James Evans, Blackstar Amplification Product Category Manager, shared positive comments about the two sides’ new partnership.
“We’re incredibly excited to be working with The Dead Daisies and helping power their sound across the globe. They’re an incredibly exciting band composed of world-class musicians, making this partnership a natural fit,” Evans said.
Guitarist Doug Aldrich soke highly of Blackstar Amplification’s quality.
“Everyone knows the range is extremely strong but it’s not until you play them yourself that you know how badass they are,” Aldrich said. “It’s all in the feel. The HTStage 100 in particular is an all-round beast of an amp! It can cover basically anything from buttery clean tones to the ballsiest sound you have ever heard.”
Audiences will be able to hear the quality of the amps when the band heads out on the road this summer in support of its forthcoming compilation record, Best Of, which is scheduled for release Aug. 18 on separate CD and vinyl platforms. The record will consist of six songs lifted from the band’s catalog along with two previously unreleased songs recorded during the sessions for the band’s most recent album, Radiance.
The full schedule for the band’s tour is available here. One time front man John Corabi will return to handle vocal duties during the tour. In addition, guitarist Michael Devin (Whitesnake) will also join the band for the tour.
