Aug. 21 — Like A Storm announced this week, it has signed a new record deal with Edgeout Records.
According to the announcement, made Monday, the deal, will see the label distribute the band’s next album, which is expected for release later this year. In anticipation of the as yet untitled album’s release, the band released a preview of the album’s lead single, ‘Sinners & Saints‘ Aug. 19. The single is expected to be made available for streaming and download Sept. 15.
Edgeout Records chairman Tony Guanci talked briefly about the decision to sign Like A Storm, in a prepared statement.
“Like A Storm blew me away the first time I saw them perform,” Guaci said. “After spending some time with the band, I recognized their drive, determination and most important, the talent. I look forward to all the incredible things we are going to do together!”
Like A Storm expressed its excitement at joining Edgeout’s artist roster in its own statement.
“We’re excited for this new era with Tony and everyone at EDGEOUT Records, and to now be part of the incredible and illustrious Universal family!,” the statement reads. “We’ve had many great talks already with the team, and are really impressed with all the innovation, expertise and experience they’re bringing to the launching of our new music. We’ve been lucky to have had some great moments and milestones in our career to date and are feeling more passionate about the music now than ever. This is going to be epic!”
