Nov. 17 — Progressive metal outfit Myrath (pronounced Me-wrath), premiered the video for its last single last week.
The band unveiled the video for its new single, ‘Child of Prophecy‘ Friday. The song and its video are the second from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, Karma, which is scheduled for release Feb. 2 through earMusic. The band premiered the album’s lead single, ‘Heroes,’ last month.
The video is compiled live footage of the band from its 20202 live recording in which the band performed in Carthage.
The musical arrangement featured in Myrath’s new single continues to exhibit the influence of Dream Theater on the band’s sound and style, what with the use of the keyboards and the heavy guitars. The vocals continue to add to that sense, too.
According to information about the song and its video, the song’s lyrical theme is a commentary about the state of the world. It states the “child of prophecy” comes into the picture to offer hope in a dark time.
