March 7 — Master Boot Record announced a new tour schedule this week.
The act, the brainchild of Victor Love, announced Thursday, the tour is scheduled to launch May 2 in Brooklyn, NY and to run through May 12 in Cambridge, MA. Tickets are available here.
Love talked about what audiences can expect from Master Boot Record live in a prepared statement.
“The live sound of Master Boot Record is the result of combining synth guitars and chiptune leads from studio albums written by myself via MIDI with live performed guitars playing in sync with them,” Love said. “This is especially challenging for lead guitar parts that aren’t written according to natural guitar playing positions. By combining synthesizers and real instruments — baritone guitar, lead guitar and drums — the live show of MBR is a different experience from the studio albums that are instead 100% synthesized.”
