The co-headlining tour, “The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour,” featuring Bullet for My Valentine and Trivium, two influential bands in the heavy metal genre, has been announced for 2025. The tour will also include special guests August Burns Red on all dates, as well as Sylosis and Bleed From Within on selected dates. See the routing below for more details.
The upcoming tour marks the commemoration of the successful albums of both groups – Bullet for My Valentine’s The Poison and Trivium’s Ascendancy – that will reach a milestone of 20 years in 2025. Each album will be played in its entirety throughout the tour.
Bullet For My Valentine has expressed their enthusiasm for their return to the USA in 2025 alongside their friends Trivium for the ‘Poisoned Ascendancy Tour’. They will be commemorating the 20th anniversary of their first album, ‘The Poison’, as well as Trivium’s ‘Ascendancy’. This highly anticipated metal tour of 2025 should not be missed.
According to Trivium, this event is dedicated to the loyal fans who were present at 9am during Ozzfest to witness a few songs by a band wearing Iron Maiden shirts. It is also for the new fans who have been listening to their lesser-known tracks but have not had the chance to see them live in a recent tour. Lastly, it serves as a moment of reflection for both BFMV and Trivium as they celebrate 20 years of incredible music and recognize the significance of their albums. The addition of August Burns Red, Bleed From Within, and Sylosis only adds to the specialness of this occasion. They are eager to perform “Ascendancy” for their fans.
The 26-city tour, organized by Live Nation, will commence on March 30 at PNE Forum in Vancouver, BC and will include performances in various cities across North America such as Las Vegas, Chicago, and New York. The tour will conclude on May 18 at Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, NC.

INTRODUCTION TO TRIVIUM:
In 2021, Trivium’s highly acclaimed tenth album In The Court Of The Dragon was released. The band and their album received recognition and coverage from popular sources such as The New York Times, NPR, Forbes, Billboard, TechCrunch , and Kotaku , as well as music publications like Guitar World, Revolver, Alternative Press , and more. Their iconic album, Ascendancy, was released in 2005 and was named KERRANG!’s “Album of the Year”. It also achieved gold certification in the UK and sold over 500,000 copies worldwide. Metal Hammer ranked it among the Top 15 “Greatest Metal Albums of the 21st Century”. This marked the beginning of the band’s success, with six consecutive Top 25 debuts on the Billboard Top 200 and five consecutive Top 3 debuts on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, leading up to their benchmark album, The Sin And The Sentence, in 2017. The album’s success brought their total stream count to over 250 million and their song “Betrayer” received a GRAMMY® Award nomination for “Best Metal Performance”. They have been praised by publications such as Decibel, Loudwire, Ultimate Guitar, MetalSucks , and Metal Hammer, who have all hailed them as “one of the best bands in modern metal”. In 2020, they released What The Dead Men Say, produced by Trivium and Josh Wilbur, which debuted at #35 on the Billboard Top 200, #2 on the Top Current Albums Chart, and #3 on both the Hard Rock Albums Chart and Top Rock Albums Chart. They have shared the stage with renowned bands like Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden, and have headlined major music festivals like Download, Bloodstock, and KNOTFEST.
ABOUT BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE:
Since their formation, Bullet For My Valentine has been a major presence not only in the metal community, but also in British music as a whole. They have achieved early success with albums like Fever and Scream Aim Fire, and have continued to captivate audiences with their latest releases, including Gravity and the self-titled album in 2021. With over 3.5 million album sales and sold-out shows around the world, the band has consistently grown stronger throughout the years. However, it was their debut album, The Poison in 2005, that truly propelled them to great heights. That year, the Welsh metal band went from supporting Funeral For A Friend on their UK tour to headlining the same venues just months later. The album, released in October 2005, peaked at number 21 on the UK album charts and was a late addition to the end-of-year polls, ranking at number seven on KERRANG!’s “Albums Of The Year” list. To this day, it has achieved gold status. In 2025, Bullet will be marking the 20th anniversary of The Poison by teaming up with fellow heavy metal contemporaries Trivium for The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour. Both bands will be performing their iconic debut albums in full for the last time to audiences worldwide.
