Sept. 13 — Independent rock band Soraia has re-issued its 2008 album, Shed The Skin.
The announcement was made Friday. Audiences can stream and order the album, which is available on blue and gold vinyl pressings, here. The re-issue is a celebration of the 15th anniversary of the album’s original release.
Vocalist ZouZou Mansour talked about the album as she looked back on the record.
“Shed The Skin was our first attempt at not only a more crafted and collaborative songwriting, but also a journey to finding what we had to say and if we could say it,” Mansour said. “We were in a different time in life, and very green, which has brought up both a joy recalling that time and also an admiration for how far we’ve come. One thing is true: Soraia keeps going. And that is the greatest thing that these songs have gifted to us. We hope you enjoy hearing them live when we perform them on tour this fall. We are having the best time bringing them back into our set!”
In other news, Soraia launched a new tour Tuesday in Mechanicsburg, PA. Dubbed the “Shed The Skin Tour,” the new live run is scheduled to run through Nov. 29 in Philadelphia, PA and includes stops in Columbus, OH; Windsor, CT and Nashville, TN.
