Ignitor Debuts Video For New Single, ‘Shattered Crosses’

Nov. 12 — Metal outfit Ignitor premiered the video for its new album’s latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its new single, ‘Shattered Crosses’ Wednesday. The song is the second single from the band’s brand-new album, Horns and Hammers. The band unveiled the album’s lead single, a cover of Saxon’s ‘Machine Gun’ in September.

The video for the band’s new single is familiar territory for the music video realm as it presents the band on what is meant to reflect a live scenario. The song’s musical arrangement is equally familiar, echoing influences of Judas Priest and other legendary vintage metal acts.

Front man Jason McMaster said in a prepared statement, the lyrical theme featured in the new single is a sociopolitical commentary of sorts.

“The lyrics are about the war efforts, the church efforts, and how governments send people off to war, seemingly only as a confusing way to make dealings of loss for big money,” said McMaster.
