Dec. 6 — Bloodywood kicked off the weekend with the premiere of another new single and video.

The band unveiled its new single, ‘Bekhauf‘ and the song’s companion video Friday. Joining the band on this the band’s second single in almost as many months, is none other than Babymetal.

The band’s latest single is a stark contrast from everything audiences have come to know from Bloodywood. That is because in place of the familiar folk /nu-metal leanings that have dominated so much of the band’s music is a more electronic, melodic hard rock approach. This is a change that many audiences are sure to find a welcome change.

While the song’s musical arrangement is something new (and again, quite welcome), its lyrical theme is something that audiences will find more familiar and uplifting. The band talked about the song’s lyrical theme in a prepared statement.

“‘Bekhauf’ means ‘fearless’ in Hindi,” the statement reads in part. “”It was born out of the realization that fear can be seen as a choice, and that choice is our own. It’s about using this knowledge to take control of our fears and eliminate the side of them that holds us back.”

The new single’s video is just as much of a change as the sound in its musical arrangement. Instead of the live-action videos the band has created throughout its life, this video is an animated presentation. The art style makes it look something along the lines of the art used by Nickelodeon’s one-time series, The Last Airbender. It finds the band joining Babymetal as the two groups face an evil entity as the song plays over the visualization.

Bloodywood released its then latest single, ‘Nu Delhi‘ and the song’s companion video in late October. The single features all of the familiar nu-metal leanings and Indian influences featured throughout the band’s debut 2022 album Rakshak.

In other news, Bloodywood also announced a new extension to its “Return of the Singh Tour” Friday. The tour, which recently wrapped its European and United Kingdom tour March 27. The new trio of dates in Japan opens May 25 in Osaka, Japan and currently tuns through May 8 in Tokyo, Japan. All three dates are noted here.
