March 4 — Tesla will release a new Reel To Reel record for Record Store Day.
The band announced Tuesday through a news release, plans to release Reel to Reel II on Record Store Day, Apr. 12. The limited edition, double LP will be the second Reel To Reel record from the band in as many years. The band released its initial Reel To Reel record on the April 2024 Record Store Day.
The forthcoming vinyl presentation is a covers collection, according to information in a news release distributed Tuesday. It will feature covers of classic rock songs from the 1960s and 1970s, such as The Rolling Stones’ ‘Street Fighting Man,’ Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Saturday Night Special,’ and Bachman Turner Overdrive’s ‘Not Fragile.’ The vinyl will be limited to only 2000 copies nationwide.

Reel To Reel, released during the April 2024 Record Store Day, was also a covers collection. It featured takes of songs from the likes of The Guess Who, Led Zeppelin, and The Temptations.
In other news, Tesla kicks off a new spring/summer North American tour today in Atlanta, GA. The band’s tour is scheduled to run through Aug. 28 in Du Quoin, IL and includes stops in cities, such as Sturgis, SD; Winterhaven, CA and Reno, NV.
