Starcrazy Debuts Video For New EP’s Second Single, ‘Egging Me On’

Feb. 21 — Independent rock band Starcrazy premiered the video for its latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its new single, ‘Egging Me On’ Tuesday. The song is the second single from the band’s forthcoming EP, Another Day, Another Squalor, which is scheduled for release March 10. It came two months after the band debuted the album’s lead single, ‘Hysterical.’

The musical arrangement featured in ‘Egging Me On’ is a full on garage punk style composition. The energy exuded through the song, which clocks in at less than two minutes in length, actually makes the song feel longer than that, but in the best way possible. It is so infectious and fully engaging and entertaining.

According to front man Marcus Fraser, the songs’ lyrical content was born from a conversation he had with someone he knows.

“There’s a homeless bloke I got to know named Andrew who spent a lot of time at Camperdown Oval with his pitbull, Salty,” Fraser said. “He told me one morning that he’d lost his friends car whilst on a drunken binge and asked me to keep an eye out for it. It got me thinking about the stupid things we do under the influence of alcohol. I wrote the lyrics almost on the spot, much like the music for this song, it was very immediate. It’s a great live song as it always gets people moving with it’s fast paced, punk rock energy.”

The video for the new single is a simple presentation. It features the band recording the single in a studio setting as the song plays over the visualization.
