Aug. 18 — More than a year after debuting its lead single, ‘Cleanse You,’ through Ghost Cult Magazine, Pharmacose has finally released its new EP, Ascension’s Constraint.
The band, the brainchild of Wes Jones, debuted the album’s lead single, ‘Cleanse,’ through Ghost Cult Magazine in March 2022. Its premiere was followed by the debut of a second single, ‘Obey‘, in May 2022.
According to Jones, he started work on the EP in 2020. He explained in a prepared statement, a variety of unforeseen circumstances arose between the time he started working on the EP and its release over the weekend. From the COVID-19 pandemic and its impacts, to changes in the band’s lineup, to re-working the record, the EP faced an uphill climb toward its creation.
