Aug. 17 — Taproot will premiere its latest single next month.
The band announced this week, it will premiere the song, ‘‘Favourite Song’ Sept. 1. The band recently announced it was considering the release date for the song, which will feature a guest appearance by Nonpoint front man Elias Soriano. A video premiere is expected to follow soon after.
Most recently, Taproot debuted another single, ‘No One Else To Blame,’ through its “Taproot Tuesday” podcast. Both songs are featured in Taproot’s forthcoming album, SC\SSRS, which is scheduled for release Sept. 29 through THC Music/Amplified Distribution.
The band also recently premiered another single, ‘VIP — V\C\T\M PLAY.’ The song is available to stream and download now.
In other news, Taproot announced early this month, new additions to its tour schedule. The first of the new dates is Sept. 2 at the Taste of Madison Festival in Madison, WI alongside Nonpoint. The second new date is Oct. 20 in Columbus, OH alongside September Mourning, Lift The Medium, and Xero Hour.
The third of the tour’s new dates is New Bedford, MA with Dead By Wednesday and the fourth is scheduled for Dec. 19 at 101 WRIF-FM Detroit Presents: District 142 in Wynadotte, MI.

SC\SSRS will be Taproot’s first new music since the release of its album, The Episodes, in 2012. It will feature a revamped lineup from the band, of sorts. Original drummer Jarrod Montague has returned on this record. New guitarist Taylor Roberts also provides his talents to the record alongside Richards and longtime bassist Phil Lipscomb, who has been a member of the band since its formation in 1997.
