Up-and-coming punk outfit Heartwells debuted its latest single this week.
The band premiered its new single, ‘Backstabbers‘ Monday. The song is the band’s first new music since the release of its single, ‘The New Old School’ last year. The song’s musical arrangement is immediately comparable to works from the likes of Sum 41, what with its somewhat pop punk vibe.
According to band member JT, the band’s new single centers lyrically on fake people who use others.
“’Backstabbers’ is a song about seeing the true side people once you have nothing left to offer them,” he said. “The users and abusers of this world who only take from you until you have nothing left.”
In other news, Heartwells has a trio of live dates scheduled for later this month. The schedule is noted below.
Upcoming Shows:
April 24- Grand Rapids, MI @ Mulligan’s Pub (with Empired)
April 25- Chicago, IL @ Liars Club (with Empired)
April 26- Dayton, OH @ Blind Bobs (with Empired, Nightbeast)
