Nov. 22 — Steve Hackett will tentatively open the new year with a new live recording.
The famed former Genesis guitarist is scheduled to release his new live recording, Live Magic at Trading Boundaries Jan. 17. According to information provided in the news release announcing the recording’s pending release, it will feature acoustic performances that Hackett has held at Trading Boundaries, in Sussex, UK over recent years.
The tracks that make up the recording’s body feature guest appearances from the likes of Hackett’s brother, John Hackett on flute, Roger King on keyboards, Rob Townsend on flute and saxophone, and Amanda Lehmann on guitar and vocals. The release date is in accordance with Hackett’s scheduled performances at the live venue, scheduled to take place Jan. 18 and 19.
In related news, Hackett is celebrating the pending release of his new recording with the debut of a live clip of ‘Ace of Wands’ (taken from Hackett’s album, Voyage of the Acolyte.’ The video is streaming here.

Live Magic at Trading Boundaries will be Steve Hackett’s second live recording released in more than a year. He released his then latest live recording, Foxtrot at Fifty + Hackett Highlights: Live in Brighton, in September 2023.
